Promoting your skin’s own healing process, fractional laser treatments result in natural rejuvenation that literally removes years from your appearance. Whether you want to lessen the effects of acne scarring, sun or age spots, reduce wrinkles around the eyes, alleviate brown spots/pregnancy masking, or develop a smoother neck or hands, fractional laser treatments deliver truly enhanced skin with improved tone and texture.

Duration

The number of sessions varies from patient to patient. Your doctor will consult with you to determine how many sessions you will require to achieve the results you desire.

Anesthesia

Topical anesthesia is applied before the procedure, while cold air is used on the treatment area during the procedure to minimize discomfort.

In/Outpatient

You will be treated on an outpatient basis.

Side Effects

Many patients experience a feeling similar to having gotten too much sun, which usually subsides within a couple of hours. Other temporary side effects can include redness and swelling, minor itching, dry skin peeling or flaking.

Risks

Any cosmetic procedure can carry some risk. After fractional laser treatments, your skin will be much more susceptible to sunlight and will need sunscreen.

Recovery

You will be able to resume normal activity within a couple of hours.

Duration of Results

Immediately after the initial healing is complete, the surface of your skin will feel softer, look brighter and tone will start to become even. Progressive results will occur over the next 3 to 6 months as the deeper layers of the skin continue to heal. Your own particular treatment and how well you care for your skin post-treatment will determine the length of results.
